V12Throttle is pleased to present the upgraded version of the early style door handle frame and pivot. Over time, every E36 door handle frame is susceptible to cracks and pivot braking, rendering the door inoperable from the outside. The original handle is no longer available from BMW, and the pivot is not sold separately.
This upgraded frame and pivot are cast from high-grade steel, which offers superior durability compared to the original zinc version. The new pivot has also been redesigned to eliminate the loose feeling in the handle that reduced the amount of available travel.
Kit includes all necessary components including a plug-and-play pin with a self-locking nut.
ATTENTION!! There is NO clear year split between the early and later type handles. The early style handle was still used randomly all the way up to 1999. Only way to tell is to look at the back of the handle.
If you do have a later style handle and would like to use this kit and keep your key you will need to buy a broken early style handle and swap your wafers into the early style tumbler then install it into this kit.
