V12Throttle Corp is pleased to introduce the new E31 Outer Sealing Window Trim Kit, which includes four individual trim pieces compatible with all E31 models. This trim is situated at the bottom of the windows within the metal outer shell. Due to exposure to the elements, it may become cracked and shrink, leading to the accumulation of sand that can scratch the windows during operation.
This kit is an exact replica of the original part, which was previously priced at nearly $500 when it was available (two part numbers are no longer available). Now, you can acquire the kit for approximately half the price of BMW.
**Installation Tips:**
1) It is essential to watch the installation video.
2) The trim can be removed from the metal casing by pulling it out with pliers.
3) Do not attempt to slide the new trim in as you did with the old one. Instead, apply grease and install it from the top by pressing it down with your hand or gently tapping it with a rubber mallet.
4) To install, apply grease to the metal groove on the vehicle and roll the windows down. Use a large flathead screwdriver to slide up and down the groove of the trim until you feel minimal resistance during installation.
