A defective fan clutch slips too much. This reduces radiator air flow, causing engine overheating and reduced air conditioning efficiency.
Most aftermarket alternatives are cheaper but are widely known to not function properly! Aftermarket fan clutches tend to stay locked even if your engine is cold, this could result in fan blade explosion, loss of engine power and your car sounding like a dump truck!
